Made up airline GOSSAMER AIR enlisted Arrowire to develop an online initiative to deepen their frequent flyer base. We proposed an entertainment marketing strategy that traded access to a fun video short in exchange for a small amount of personal information.

Everyone who volunteered their name, address and email address was signed up as a frequent flyer and immediately e-mailed their new frequent flyer number and access to a series of six entertaining and useful twenty second streamed videos. The theme of the videos?

How to make yourself more comfortable on an airplane.

The theme reinforced Gossamer Air's concern for their new frequent flyers; the videos were smart and amusing, emphasizing Gossamer's brand identity as cheeky but very confident pros; and the campaign demonstrated that people were willing to give something (a little bit of info on themselves) in order to get something worth their time.
